    Sachio Semmoto

    Dr. Semmoto joined RENOVA as an External Board Member in 2014,
    becoming Chairman in 2015. Prior to RENOVA, he founded four leading telecom companies including KDDI and eAccess. He was a board member of NetApp, Inc. headquartered in Sunnyvayle, CA which is one of the excellent company in Silicon Valley, and Reuters which is the world's largest telecommunications company.
    He was also a full professor at Keio University, a visiting professor of Carnegie Mellon University and University of California, Berkeley.
    He holds a BS in Engineering from Kyoto University and PhD in Engineering from University of Florida.

    Yosuke Kiminami

    Mr. Kiminami founded RENOVA in 2000 and became the CEO. He grew RENOVA from its original Environmental Consulting business to include Plastic Recycling and Renewable Energy. Prior to RENOVA, he worked for McKinsey & Company. He holds a BS in Human Sciences, Faculty of Integrated Human Studies from Kyoto University.

Prior to RENOVA, he was the customer service director at SoftBank, and prior to that was the President and Representative Director of eAccess (acquired by SoftBank). He co-founded ACCA Networks in 2000, and prior to that was involved in software development at NTT (Nippon Telegraph and Telephone). He holds a BA from the University of Tokyo (College of Arts and Sciences).

  • Dr. Ogawa joined RENOVA in 2012 and took his current role from 2017. Prior to RENOVA, he worked for Takenaka Corp. as a Structural Engineer and a Project Manager. He holds a MS and Ph.D in Engineering from the University of Tokyo, MBA from the University of Cambridge.

  • Mr. Mori joined RENOVA as the CFO in 2015. Prior to RENOVA, he worked for Goldman Sachs in Tokyo and New York as an Investment Banker. Prior to that, he worked for KPMG. He holds a BA in Commerce with a focus on Finance and Accounting from Waseda University.

  • Mr. Imaoka joined RENOVA in 2014 and took his current role from 2017. He also serves as a director of the Japan Geothermal Association. Prior to RENOVA, he spent two years volunteering in Fukushima. Prior to that, he was a partner at A.T. Kearney. He holds a BA in Economics from the University of Tokyo.

  • Mr. Fukuma joined RENOVA in 2017. Prior to RENOVA, he worked for Japan Renewable Energy Corporation as a director of finance and project management regarding Electric power development. Prior to that, he worked for ORIX. He holds a BA in Law from Keio University.

  • Mr. Miyabe joined RENOVA as the head of Global Business in 2018. He was an advisor to Renova from 2015 to 2018. Prior to RENOVA, he was an investor, management member and advisor to several startup companies in Silicon Valley with primary focus on clean technology sector. Prior to that, he worked for Goldman Sachs in Tokyo and San Francisco as an Investment Banker and as a member of TMT and Cleantech & Renewables group. He holds MA in Environmental Economics from Keio University.

  • Ms. Suzuki joined RENOVA in 2018. Prior to RENOVA, she worked for F-Power Inc. as the CEO. Prior to that, she worked for BP Japan and Mitsubishi Corporation. She holds a BA in Law from Tohoku University.

  • Dr. Lee joined RENOVA in 2017 and took her current role from 2018.
    Prior to RENOVA, her career spanned across various sectors and industries: the Clinton White House, Citadel Investment Group , Information Analytics Group of Caterpillar, Harvard University, and the Asian Development Bank. She received a Ph.D. in economics from M.I.T., and her areas of specialty are International Finance and Econometrics.

    Dr. Lee taught various economics and statistics courses at Harvard University and M.I.T. for both undergraduates and M.B.A. students.
