Compliance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (the “Act”) and the proper handling of information that identifies individuals (names, addresses, telephone numbers, e-mail addresses and other items; collectively, “Personal Information”) are vital social obligations of RENOVA, Inc. (“RENOVA”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). We have established the following basic policy for the protection of Personal Information and are constantly working on making improvements to the measures for protecting this information.

  1. Purposes of Use

    We will use Personal Information to the scope necessary to achieve the following purposes.

    • To provide information about our group
    • To respond to inquiries
    • To examine and execute various transactions with each company in our group, including the development and operation of power generation facilities, and to conclude contracts
    • To provide information to applicants for employment in our group, to contact them, to carry out selection procedures, and to manage them after they join our group.
    • To perform business activities in relation to the exercise of the rights / the performance of the duties of shareholders and other stakeholders, pursuant to the Companies Act or any other laws and regulations (sending convocation notices, etc., attendance management at shareholders’ meetings, and other activities).
    • To be used for other purposes as specified when the information was obtained.
  2. Provision to Third Parties

    We will not provide or disclose Personal Information to third parties without the consent of the subject individual, except as required by laws and regulations.

  3. Outsourcing

    We may outsource the handling of Personal Information to a third party within the scope necessary to achieve the purposes of use. In such case, we will select a third party after confirming that the third party has a sufficient level of security in handling Personal Information, and we will conduct necessary and appropriate supervision.

  4. Shared Use

    We may share the Personal Information we have obtained with our group companies.

      Name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, gender, employer (including affiliation such as department), date of birth, content of inquiry, etc.

      The Company's subsidiaries and equity method affiliates

      Purposes of shared use within the scope of the purposes of use in Section 1 above.

  5. Provision to Third Parties in Foreign Countries

    We may provide Personal Information to third parties located in foreign countries. Although such foreign countries may not have a personal information protection system that is equivalent to the one in Japan, we provide Personal Information only to those parties who are taking the measures required by the Act, except as permitted by the laws and regulations or as the consent of the subject individual is obtained by ways set forth in the laws and regulations.

  6. Safety Management Measures

    We will take necessary and appropriate measures for the prevention of leakage, loss, and damage of Personal Information that we handle and for other safety management of Personal Information. For details of the contents of our system for obtaining Personal Information and the measures we take, please make contact at the contact point specified in “10. Contact Point”.

  7. Procedures including Disclosure, etc.

    We will respond promptly in accordance with laws and regulations, etc., if the subject individual requests the disclosure, correction, deletion, or cessation of use of, or the disclosure of records provided by a third party with regard to, the Personal Information in our possession, or other measures.
    For requests for disclosure, etc., please contact the contact point specified in “10. Contact Point,” and we will send out the relevant procedure documents, etc., for the application. If claiming for notification of the purposes of use of Personal Information, or if claiming for the disclosure of Personal Information, 1,000 yen (including tax) will be charged as a fee, so please transfer such fee amount to our designated bank account. Please also note that the transfer fee is to be borne by the applicant.

  8. Handling of Specified Personal Information

    We will comply with the “Act on the Use of Numbers to Identify Specific Individuals in Administrative Procedures” and other related laws, regulations, guidelines, etc., and will not use or provide third parties with any Specified Personal Information beyond the purposes of use specified in these laws and regulations.
